The Lie

Today, I came across a TikTok creator (Pickard Henn) who was teaching about angels and their role in our lives. According to him, we as humans have the ability to appoint angels to protect us. He shared a vivid dream he had, in which he saw thousands of angels and had a conversation with the Lord – each one a different color – standing around looking deeply saddened. Their sorrow, he claimed, they had no purpose because no one was giving them any instructions.

He went on to say that these angels are simply waiting – ready and willing – to be commanded to protect our homes, guard us against evil, and even (this was the part that raised a red flag for me) to safeguard our finances. He referenced “the Bible” and said that “you can look it up on Google” to support his claims, yet failed to mention any specific book, chapter, or verse to allow for scriptural verification.

Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.
